Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Flight Safety program manager position will oversee the Pilot, Maintenance and Dispatch ASAP program.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the Pilot, Maintenance and Dispatch ASAP program.
- Prepare/Facilitate all of the Event Review Committee (ERC) Meetings.
- Track/Trend the top safety issues out of the ASAP program.
- Track the effectiveness of all ERC Recommendations/Corrective Actions.
- Create Recommendations to the company from the ASAP ERC’s.
- Create Safety Promotional (Quarterly ASAP Briefs, Safety Bulletins etc.).
- Maintain all of the ASAP Memorandum of Understandings (MOU).
- Manage the Confidential Information Sharing Program (CISP).
- Manage the Pilot/Flight Attendant Fatigue program.
- Track and trend Fatigue data.
- Responsible to facilitate the Fatigue Risk Management Committee.
- Maintain the Fatigue Training Ops Spec A317.
- Maintain the PSA Flight Safety Index.
- Responsible to maintain the Company Safety Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct various safety promotional presentations to increase the knowledge and awareness of PSA ASAP program and support departmental safety promotional efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- In absence, duties performed by the Flight Safety Manager.
- Responsible for the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
Qualifications
Required
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- At least 3 years of experience in airline operation.
- Excellent writing/ communication skills.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- Airman Certificate Preferred.
- Two years of ASAP related experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or Aviation Safety.
Additional Information
Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.
Delegation: In absence duties will be completed by the Flight Safety Manager.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment.
