Job Description:
In this role, performs all tasks necessary to manage GM Office &Strategy and Business Development.
Manager functions in accordance with the requirements and activities outlined in this document.
As GM office Manager, the jobholder has the duty:
- To ensure the smoothness and sustainability of the GM activities and perform all tasks delegated to the jobholder by the GM.
- To take charge of public relations management in line with Airbus PR policies and working together with the communications organisations of Airbus China & Central, from strategy to implementation.
As Strategy and Business Development Manager, the jobholder has the duty to:
- Support the establishment of the Company’s Strategic Plan.
- Contribute to the fostering and development of relationships with Shuangliu District and Chengdu local government, as well as other stakeholders external to the Company, for the purpose of promoting the development of the Company&39;s business, particularly with respect to the regulatory framework in which it operates.
- Contribute to proposals for Airbus Lifecycle Services Centre (ALSC) wide initiatives to create synergies and improve the coordination between the Company and Satair Chengdu as well as promote the ALSC one stop shop business model with customers, suppliers and government stakeholders and support the execution of such proposals by the relevant Company stakeholders.
Main activities
Strategic activities
Contribute to the work with the local authorities to enlarge the regulatory framework for developing the Company business (e.g. local customs & tax setup) and with local and central authorities to promote new standards for aircraft dismantling regarding sustainability and green industry.
Client related activities
Support the maintenance and the development of relations with relevant local authorities, governmental bodies and other relevant business partners as well as Customers to support the Company business, NDRC, Ministry of Commerce, Customs, CAMAC, Environment Protection organisations, etc. at both central and local level.
Contribute to the coordination of the relationship between the Company and Satair Chengdu; support the building and facilitation of the ALSC relationship representing both the ALS Company and SC vis a vis customers, suppliers, Partners, and Politics.
Operational activities
Daily administration support to General Manager:
- Management meeting agenda, minutes and action tracking with regular team follow-up
- SQCDP or other management business review/ board of director meeting preparation and reports follow-up
- Prepare technical memos / presentations (memos / letters, VIP visits, agenda etc.)
- Translations and interpretation support
- Other general daily support activities and assigned special tasks
PR:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the local PR strategy and policies, in line with Airbus Corporate PR policies, working together with the GM and Airbus China & Central Communications
- Set up and implement annual PR plan at Company level within annual PR budget, working together with Airbus China
- Handle VIP visits as focal point
- Assist the GM and Airbus China & Central Communications in maintaining contact with key public relations and media persons
- Liaise with Airbus China and Airbus Central communications to ensure that specific and local ALS needs are fulfilled or supported by these organisations in terms of ALS market awareness through publications, social media and other means of communication as well as the organisation of customers and industrial events to promote ALS services and branding, e,g Airshow, MRO conference, Aircraft Lifecycle Assets Management Forum or other customer events
- Other PR related activities linked to the employees in ALS site, working together with the Satair Chengdu stakeholders
Government Affair:
- Liaise with local government officials to establish and maintain a smooth relationship, as well as promoting ALS to government for more and customized government policies for the benefit of the company and employees
- Support the development of the company‘s strategic plan.
- Contribute to the identification of stakeholders for potential business cooperation and the development of new business models and partnerships to support ALS’s future growth, working with the relevant Company stakeholders and with Airbus China Business Development and other Airbus stakeholders.
- Support the development of new services for ALS, e.g. CAMO etc.
- Other tasks assigned by the manager.
Developmental activities
Support the promotion of initiatives to generate and maintain a customer centric culture and mindset across all Company functions.

Strategic Outputs
Strong Government relations: establish and maintain positive relationships with local and central governments, facilitating open communication and effective collaboration to promote environmental issues.
Advocate for new standards for aircraft dismantling that prioritize sustainability and promote green industry practices.
Operational Outputs
Support to the Business Development initiatives proposed and oversight performed over their delivery working together with all Company and, where necessary, also with external stakeholders, in particular expansion of the Company’s business scope and feedstock sources, through the launch and the management of political initiatives delivering:
- A customer transaction friendly customs & tax regime for the ALSC site,
- A compliant regulatory framework for the importation of aircraft from abroad to China for dismantling,
- A Company‘s approach to becoming the NDRC pilot case for eco-efficient aircraft dismantling and deconstruction developed and promoted.
Qualifications
1.Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering.
2.Experience: 5&43; years related professional experience in Strategy & Business development working in an international environment.
3.Basic Skills: Good communication skills at all levels and ability in cross-departmental coordination; well-organised, honest, conscientious, reliable, responsible; ability to think independently and handle complex problems; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; Mandarin native speaker and fluent in English.

1.Self-confident, autonomous and willing to take initiative.
2.Team player with strong people skills (reinforces and maintains open communication lines within all levels in the company & external stakeholders) with good knowledge of cross-cultural communication.
3.Versed in working in multicultural environments, with excellent communication skills as well as English language (verbal and written) skills.
4.Strategic view of the overall interests of the Company and Airbus.
Technical Skills:
1.Good knowledge in PR.
2.Well developed Strategic & Business development skills.
3.Airline and/or lessors industry experience.
4.Knowledge in airline operations (in the Maintenance domain); similar experience in another services industry is a plus.
