Role Summary:
The Service Manager is responsible for coordination and supervision of restorations, inspections, repairs, upgrades, and pre-purchase evaluations on piston aircraft. The candidate should have experience performing maintenance and inspections on a variety of piston aircraft. Private pilot or better preferred but not mandatory to perform occasional maintenance verification flights on piston aircraft.
Must have a broad knowledge of general aviation fixed-wing aircraft, and some familiarity with turbine aircraft maintenance programs. Candidates should also possess a strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance and record-keeping requirements. Repair Station experience preferred. Candidate must possess strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and be highly motivated to provide an exceptional experience for aircraft owners. The selected candidate will be expected to lead a team of mechanics and support staff for the furtherance of the business objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Review maintenance records and aircraft research
• Visual and mechanical inspections of aircraft
• Routine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintenance verification flights (as pilot or observer)
• Preparing and reviewing equipment lists.
• Use computer-based maintenance tracking software to prepare estimates, billing, and log entries.
• Coordinate, schedule, and supervise pre-purchase inspections of aircraft
• Provide timely updates to clients regarding maintenance status of aircraft
• Oversee development of operations manual and/or Safety Management System
• Oversee policies and procedures development toward future repair station certification
• Normal schedule will be M-T 630am-5pm, with occasional evenings or weekends depending on company workload
