About the Opportunity:

Join our client, a prominent player in the aviation industry, as the General Manager for the Caribbean region. Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, this position offers the chance to lead operations across the Caribbean Islands, ensuring the highest standards of safety, customer service, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the SVP of Operations, the General Manager will be pivotal in driving growth and enhancing service quality in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Compliance: Uphold FAA, EASA, ICAO regulations, and company policies to ensure safe operations across all locations.
• Promote Safety Audits: Conduct monthly safety and service audits to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
• Liaise with Authorities: Serve as the primary contact with airport administrations and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local and federal guidelines.
• Optimize Customer Experience: Oversee customer service functions for efficient passenger experiences and provide support when needed.
• Lead Operational Excellence: Maintain professionalism and drive daily operations to deliver on-time performance.
• Mentor Teams: Supervise the Station Manager and SJU base Admin, fostering high morale and accountability through regular meetings and training.
• Manage Human Resources: Handle performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and ensure proper maintenance of personnel records.
• Drive Development: Lead the strategic expansion of new locations in the Caribbean.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the SVP of Operations.

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills with strategic planning ability.
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with excellent communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of airport operations, safety, and compliance with FAA, TSA, and ICAO regulations.
• Professional demeanor at all times.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs., work after hours, and withstand outdoor conditions when necessary.
• Some travel required.
