About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Global Operations and Service Planning Lead to join our Global Operations team based in Palo Alto, CA or Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing and overseeing asset supply operations and availability within drone delivery environments. This role will also focus on strategizing and executing initiatives to improve supply availability, asset allocation, forecasting and planning.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the owner of the inventory availability in line with launch schedules, asset utilization, ongoing operations and Reverse Logistics efforts
- Directly engage with the sourcing team to communicate needs and incorporate manufactured and sourced inventory into the global operations inventory pipeline
- Create and manage the predictive planning for asset utilization, attrition, life cycle and inventory cycle time considerations
- Align globally with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Fleet and Launch teams to ensure visibility into network inventory and drive acquisition of all inventory requirements
- Ensure sourcing considerations of lead time, required delivery date and future planning into material acquisition and provide related demand to ensure timely execution
- Direct management of 3PSP planning and acquisition of consumables in support of ongoing operations, ensuring availability of all required assets
- Alignment with Regional operations teams for partner requirements in packaging, hex totes and nest support assets aligned with Wing’s related scale
What You’ll Need:
- 10+ years of experience in service and demand planning with emphasis on multi-operating logistics and operational network
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Strong vendor management leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of best practices in inventory planning, mult-site inventory allocation, cost avoidance and predictive analytics
- Able to travel as needed to include international locations
- Strong analytical skills experience querying operational datasets with SQL to analyze both inventory and logistics processes
- Experience with transportation management, lead times and network cycle time for inventory acquisition
- Demonstrated experience in working in a fast paced and scaling operational environment with highly cross functional teams
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 20-30 depending on residential location
- BS or higher in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, in related field or equivalent experience

$220,000—$256,000 USD
