Government Program Manager in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
Large Program and/or Contracts management experience required.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree preferred. 7 years experience in aircraft design, manufacturing or service & support. 3 years project management experience consisting of any combination of supervisory experience, project management and/or technical experience.
Position Purpose:
Coordinates the activities of assigned project managers and program coordinators. Leads cross-functional program team in the execution of assigned government programs, ensuring all program deliverables are met. Plan, organize and manage company & supplier resources to meet assigned program cost/schedule milestones and margin targets. Responsibilities include program management of all program schedules, cost/benefit analysis, development, modification, test, certification, product support, quality, reliability & availability and entry into service issues & activities and logistic support (when applicable).

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Track program schedules.
- Ensures program achieves certification schedule and performance requirements.
- Effectively manages budgets to achieve cost/margin targets and revenue projections.
- Coordinates evaluation, selection & implementation of new engineering/manufacturing technologies as required.
- Supports Completion and Service Center activities to meet business & customer satisfaction goals.
- Coordinates preparation of proposal cost estimates & supports negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
- Ensures all contract deliverables are provided to the customer in a timely and compliant fashion.
- Acts as the primary interface with customer during program execution.
Additional Functions:
- Support supplier/customer design, & program reviews to insure program deliverables, schedules & budgets are met. .
- Effectively tracks to closure all internal and external actions and open issues .
- Effectively coordinates with Product Support and/or Completion management to ensure all program, business & customer satisfaction goals are met. .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- Experience in executing government programs preferred.
- Must have the ability to obtain a US government security clearance if required.
