This transformation includes new global governance, new ways of working and the implementation of digital business services and platforms.

Within the Digital & IM function, the Governance and Transformation department plays a key transversal role in enabling the IM and Digital Transformation, from FRAMING - expressing strategic intentions and defining simple, flexible and scalable frames - to SUPPORTING Domains and PSL’s while ensuring alignment between functions and divisions - to REPORTING through consolidated views, highlighting hotspots and relevant needs for support & decision-making. 

In India, the Governance & Agile Transformation department of Digital plays a key transversal role promoting synergies between multiple domains across Airbus worldwide with a flexible and adaptable approach which helps in sharing best practices, architecture, innovation, operational excellence and being efficient with cost, quality and time. 

Within the Functional management of Governance, we are looking for an experienced Manager with Finance background and people management skills. He/She will be responsible for the team of Performance, Finance, Risk, Workforce and Workplace activities to ensure the Airbus India Digital function’s business performance.

Your role :  

As a Group Manager for Digital Performance, you are responsible for : 

  • Managing the team of professionals by setting the goals aligning to the global objectives for Performance, Risk Management, Facilities coordination and Workforce management 

  • Individually to deliver on the Finance responsibility for costs and savings by working closely with the business and finance function.

  • Creating an engaging, open and trustful environment


 

Tasks and responsibilities

FINANCE: 

You will collaborate closely with all IT organizations within Airbus and with the Finance teams to 

  • Driving and coordinating the costs across the complete Airbus India Digital & IM organization, generating insights out of Business, HR and Finance data and providing advice to the management in the cost perspective.

  • Maintaining the hourly rate for the Digital & IM India under control (Charge back for all work with Europe)

  • Managing the Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts and Actuals in line with all the deliverables (customer wise, domain wise)

  • ensure consistency between non-recurring costs (NRC) and recurring costs (RC)

  • advise the management on cost optimisation measures 

  • Ensures external cost through the outsourcing number & contracts do not overpass agreed MAKE or BUY strategy.

  • Support and provide data related to any tax related queries or audits. 

  • Build a internal/external customer wise cost strategy for the next 2 years, in line with Europe domain(s)


 

PERFORMANCE:

  • Supports the workforce initiatives & follows them on the cost impact aspect

  • Streamline the reporting by developing a digital dashboard, updating the domain wise traceability of data

  • Reporting to all the cost center owners of D & IM India, customers and Roof India Finance teams.

  • Monthly status report on D & IM department’s at the D & IM India LT


 

Ways of Working:

- Build a common decision making between internal/external customers and Airbus India Digital domains on budget management, keep  transparency in billing, .

- Liaise and manage with the business and Finance the billing (efforts charged to the respective customers internal and worldwide via PO or non-PO process) and invoicing of the same.

- Ease communication and information sharing between customer domains, Roof India IT, Finance Controller of Digital domain (FZD) and India Finance having regular alignment meetings at AOP, FC1, FC2 and FC3.

- Quarterly Finance reviews 

- Year end book closure of all pending processes

TEAM MANAGEMENT:

  • Developing team members according to their career aspirations and competences

  • Providing effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action when it’s required.

  • Working with Human Resources Team to interview and recruit right team based on the business needs

  • Managing work timing schedules, job rotation and vacations of the team

  • Developing the team to take agile initiatives and fostering empowerment

  • You are fluent in English. Any other European language is a plus.


 

Required Professional  Experience:

12&43; years of experience in any industry. Aerospace / Digital industry could be an advantage.  

You may hold a Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Business or Engineering or Finance or a comparable qualification and have adequate years of relevant professional experience.

  • Ability to motivate the team to complete the project work 

  • Coordinate activities by establishing direction, aligning people

  • Stakeholders management and networking skills

  • You are a skilled story-teller and are not afraid to speak-up.

  • You are eager to exchange with a wide range of stakeholders across the Digital organization and beyond.

  • You have a curious mindset and the ability to think beyond the borders of the organization.

  • You are willing to drill down on details with operations and to synthesize for recommendations to Executives.


 

Technical Skills:

  • Project Management

  • Risk Management

  • Finance - costing, invoicing, budget planning, annual forecasts, provisions, taxes knowledge 

  • Good understanding of processes, methods and tools both in finance and in the digital area.

  • Facility management understanding (workplace)

  • Digital domain knowledge

  • Aerospace knowledge (basic)

Success Metrics:

  • Finance actuals at the end of each year in line with the hourly rate targets for India.

  • Maintaining the People Tempo at an expected level

  • Savings realized through various projects

  • Collective achievement of team objectives.
