Airbus Helicopters is looking for a H225 Transformation Project Manager (f/m) to join our the department in charge of managing all engineering activities for the H225 plateform based in Marignane, France.

In 2020, Airbus Helicopters Engineering (ET) has launched its transformation through the introduction of the new Ways of Working (WoW) and the Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.

In parallel, several transformation and improvement projects have been launched during the last 3 years with the objectives of reducing the Non Recurring Costs (NRC), reducing the lead time, leveraging the Digital revolution (Product Life Management, Simulation, Model Based System Engineering, etc) and reinforcing the predictability with an Engineering Cost Model (ECM).

As the external environment continues to be challenging (new regulations, increased competition, general inflation, etc), Airbus Helicopters Engineering (ET) continues its Transformation journey by setting up new ambitious targets to improve Performance and Productivity.
 

In this context, the H225 platform has launched an ambitious plan to transform of way of leading engineering activities. Effectively, H225 platform is facing main challenges and you will be part of it by preparing the future.

In a dynamic environment, you will interface with H225 main stakeholders within Design Office such as métiers leaders, others project and contract managers, PMO, ... and in addition with H225 Plateau members from other disciplines: program, production, support, procurement.

Within H225 platform and under direct responsibility of the H225 chief engineer, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of transformation activities.

Tasks and responsibilities:

You will contribute to the following main activities:

Lead engineering activities on a core project.

Achieve project objectives (time, scope, cost, quality) for customer satisfaction in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations

● Be the engineering focal point and leader for customer, program, industry, S&S and the whole engineering community for a transformation project.

● Put in place the appropriate project structure to support activities.

● Lead all engineering activities, and ensure customer needs and requirements are met.

● Build and follow-up schedule and relevant gains of performance, with a clear ambition to deliver our commitments to increase our efficiency,

● Manage workload and expenses to ensure development is done within budget allocated by program.

● Ensure dependencies from H225 contracts or others H225 Core activities

● Ensure active risk and opportunity management.

Prérequis

  • Experience in project management from 1 to 3 years

  • Engineer diplome

Skills & Prerequisites:

● General knowledge of helicopter and main sub-systems

● Strong project management and organization skills. General Design Office knowledge: understanding and architecture of drawings, design rules, stress analysis

● General knowledge of airworthiness: certification, continuous airworthiness

● General knowledge of configuration management, non-conformity management

● Possibly experience concerning mission systems and performances, or operational use of helicopters.

● High sense of autonomy, initiative and team spirit Strong analysis and synthesis skills, with ability to process lots of complex information in a limited time

● Positive attitude, welcome problem attitude

● Stress management

● Be a flexible team player and comply with company values and behaviours

English: negociation

French: fluent
