Description
An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways in our Catering Services Team. In this role you will assist Hygiene Duty Officer in handling all responsibilities of setting up a Hygiene and sanitation standard for QACC.
Key accountabilities for the role include:
- Coordinating with Maintenance, Production and Operations on daily activities.
- Identify cleaning task & work out a schedule to implement an effective cleaning & sanitation programme.
- Awareness of, and adherence to, current health and safety legislation and approved codes of practice as communicated by Department.
- Train, brief & communicate safe use of cleaning products, equipment and machinery to staff.
- Coordinate with Facility Management and monitor cleaning schedules and effectiveness.
- Highlight deviation and ensure proper corrective action is initiated by Facility Management.
- Ensure effective pest control is carried out in coordination with the outsourced pest control contract staff.
- Carry out verification of Facility managed areas for any possible deviation.
- Maintain all necessary documentation & record of cleaning materials stocks and place periodical orders after necessary approval from Cleaning supervisor.
- Adhere to provided Hygiene & Safety guidelines and instructions.
- Ensure regular periodical maintenance of cleaning equipment is carried out by staff and that identified faults are rectified in coordination with maintenance.
- Induct staff with appropriate training in the operation of sensitive & specialized cleaning machinery such as polishers, vacuum cleaners, Floor scrubbers etc., and in safe systems of work.
- Ensure staff awareness of any relevant risk assessments, material safety data sheets (MSDS) and or training required in advance of undertaking any cleaning task.

Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for the candidates with Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 1 years of job-related experience
Job Specific Skills:
Essential
- Knowledge & handling of cleaning chemicals, Sensitive and sophisticated production equipment, machineries and cleaning tools
- Good spoken & written English
Preferred
- Knowledge of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
- Trained in Fire safety & First Aid
