Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

The position is required to identify needs from our plants, translate them into requirements and develop digital innovative projects to deliver tangible and robust solutions back to the plants. Managing innovation projects, alignment between our roadmap and plant needs and implementing the solutions in the shopfloor are our core activities. Furthermore, you will belong to a transnational team covering the whole Air Power Industrial R&T and R&D perimeter.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

• Software coding and management of digitalisation projects in order to cover the technological needs of legacy and future programs in Manching and other Sites

• Contribution to the digitalisation of manufacturing and services operations for legacy programs Combat EF MRO, EF CFE (Centre Fuse Equipping), EF FAL, A400M MRO, MRO Classic

• Contribution to the digitalisation of manufacturing and services operations for future programs Eurodrone, FMTC and Future Combat Air System (FCAS)

• Analysis of existing and new manufacturing processes, digital tools, systems and interfaces to identify and tackle technological gaps

• Identification of similar approaches from other plants and merging projects to common transversal initiatives in terms of innovating industrial processes

• Supporting and driving the cultural change within Airbus Defence and Space with knowledge sharing through lessons learned while participating to work in agile teams

• Defining, describing, running and supporting several Proof of Concepts (PoC) to evaluate thoroughly the digital tools using a testing environment

• Educated in software, IT, telecommunication, industrial engineering degree or the German academic degree “Diplom-Ingenieur”.

• Expertise with automation and software configuration management tools, in any scripting common languages specially python

• Familiarity with web based development like javascript, knowledge of framework like angular, vue and react will be a plus

• Expertise in SQL and databases mainly postgreSQL, Oracle or mysql 

• Expertise in web based knowledge server side like nginx or apache. 

• Expertise with Source code management (Version Control System) tools like git, github.

• High motivation to familiarize yourself deeply with a complex IT system

• Open minded for collaborative ways of working in a transnational and transcultural business environment

• Good analytical skills as well as interpersonal and communication skills

• Fluent in German and English

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Knowledge of manufacturing process and operations will be a plus

• Project Management skills, experience in agile product development and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be considered plus
