The Interior Manager is responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the firm's quality standards, are completed on schedule, and achieve the expected budget and material profit. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of all personnel under their direct supervision. Additionally, the Interior Manager will support sales by ensuring accurate job estimates. This position oversees all aspects of the Interior shop, including Upholstery, Trim, Cabinet, and Finish.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed schedules and budgets for each interior project
- Assist the Sales department by providing budgetary and pricing information
- Help create and maintain standard interior specifications and processes
- Coordinate interior activities in alignment with paint operations
- Maintain the Interior Shop in an organized, efficient, and professional manner at all times
- Regularly advise the General Manager on inventory needs to enhance operational efficiency
- Train Interior Shop personnel in all aspects of aircraft interior modifications to ensure quality work and profitability
- Support Stockroom personnel in sourcing and developing interior vendors while monitoring parts and material orders to meet aircraft delivery timelines
- Recruit, hire, and retain skilled craftsmen to strengthen the workforce
- Conduct performance evaluations in a timely and effective manner
- Oversee work in progress to minimize errors and maximize efficiency
- Provide accurate documentation as required by the Inspections Procedure Manual
- Enforce and adhere to all Firm and OSHA safety procedures and policies
- While duties may be delegated to an assistant, the Interior Manager retains overall responsibility
- Perform other tasks as directed by the General Manager, including business development initiatives utilizing industry contacts and expertise
