We are seeking an experienced Lead Aviation Technician (A&P) to manage and mentor a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality maintenance and on-time delivery of aircraft. This leadership role involves overseeing projects, coaching team members, and fostering a positive, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing complex aircraft systems, conducting preventive maintenance, supervising workflow efficiency, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the technician group including managing projects.
Support and manage direct reports in a positive team environment.
Provide direction, coach, and mentor technicians to consistently deliver excellence in their job execution as individuals and team players, ensuring high quality and efficient workmanship for on-time re-delivery of aircraft.
Perform thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on aircraft engines, systems, and components, following industry best practices and company guidelines.
Diagnose mechanical, structural, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and use your expert knowledge to formulate effective repair solutions.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks that encompass lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, and replacement of worn-out parts to keep our aircraft in tip-top shape.
Collaborate with a diverse team of mechanics, technicians, and engineers to identify and address complex aircraft issues.
Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to analyze and resolve technical problems efficiently.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation, including work performed, parts used, and inspection results, in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety procedures, taking part in professional development activities and training programs.
Foster a culture of safety by adhering to established safety protocols and promoting awareness among team members.
Identify training needs for technicians.
Supervise and monitor man hour utilization in collaboration with Production Planning and Control.
Ensure that all labor and materials used are allocated to the proper work order and item number.
Enforce the requirements of the Repair Station Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, Manufacturers Service Bulletins, Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), Structural Repair Manual (SRM), Military Technical Orders (TO), and any other requirements to perform their assigned work.
Shipping and receiving duties as needed.
Provide inventory management support.
Ability to be on-site full time.
Ability to attend required business meetings - in person, or video call in, as coordinated.
Ability to work with a team and thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environment with a demonstrated record of achievement.

Ability to travel on behalf of the company (acceptable driving record, valid drivers license and car insurance, and ability to travel by air).
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, with prior notice, until additional shifts are filled.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of an accredited aviation maintenance technician program required.
A valid A&P license is required
8+ years of aviation technician experience-military or civilian required.
5+ years of leadership experience required.
Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, ideally working on a variety of aircraft models required.
Familiarity with aircraft systems, including avionics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and powerplant required.
Experience following technical manuals and procedures accurately required.
Experience using electronic maintenance tracking programs required.
Inspector Authorization is highly desired.
Miscellaneous Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. Ability to work in an aircraft hangar which at times may be hot, cold, dusty, or loud.
