Summary of AccountabilitiesPlay a leading role in performing new installations and upgrades as well as perform inspections, troubleshoot and coordinate repairs on corporate and general aviation aircraft.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Perform inspections, repairs, and troubleshoot as part of a maintenance team. Perform avionics and electrical upgrades to comply with STC’s, SB’s and field approved modifications.
- Provide leadership and direction to other Avionics Technicians.
- Provide leadership and initiative to build all aspects of the MCAS avionics and maintenance business, including installation and upgrades.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
- Help to identify key training opportunities and build and develop a highly skilled team of avionics technicians.
- Perform other special projects as needed in support of MCAS operations and business development needs.
- Occasionally may require domestic and/or international travel.
Education and Experience- Avionics training at a technical school or equivalent experience required.
- FCC or A&P license preferred.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid US passport.
- Valid US driver’s license in good standing.
Physical Requirements- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- This job may occasionally require lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Additional Requirements or Skills- Minimum 4 years of experience in the field of avionics upgrades, installation, troubleshooting and coordination of repairs.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills required to facilitate the building of a team as well as to support avionics sales efforts
- Strong team-oriented work ethic. Believes in and harnesses teamwork to achieve goals.
- Self-starter: takes initiative to lead in areas of responsibility.
