ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prioritize and assign work to meet weekly ship requirements.
  • Effectively utilize personnel skillsets in Mid-Fin to complete work efficiently.
  • Ensure all personnel adhere to safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Support initiatives to reduce scrap and rework and actively support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Report all issues having a negative impact on productivity, performance, such as unacceptable work behaviors and performance.
  • Provide pro-active employee support within the team. This includes but is not limited to ensuring all employees in Mid-Fin have the proper PPE, tooling, and work instructions.
  • Coordinate workflow to meet daily production goals.
  • Executes the daily thruput plan, adjusting as necessary.
  • Assist in meeting variable cost budgets for work area for materials and supplies.
  • Instill safe work practices in employees in team. Train in use of PPE and safe work practices. Identify and report on unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all 6S initiatives are understood and completed by all Mid-Finishing Employees.
  • Assist in the development and execution of training guidelines.
  • Meet internal / external customer requirements to deliver product on time and within specification.
  • Proactively cooperate between teams / work areas and share resources when needed to meet plant goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all company rules and regulations are followed.
  • Actively supports all management policies, programs and procedures.
  • Performs other duties of greater or lesser complexity as required by the position or assigned by supervision.
  • Provide proper OJT training using established training guidelines and procedures.
  • Meet internal / external customer requirements to deliver product on time and within specification.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • General knowledge of company policies and procedures and their application to cases not previously covered.
  • Duties require considerable judgment and the ability to work independently toward results.
  • Makes related decisions guided by precedent and within limits of established policies.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Word.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of Thickness Gauges (Dyers), Calipers (Digital/Dial), Feeler Gauges
  • Advanced knowledge in the rework process to include FP, FS, Weld Tech requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge in EPMS to include proper LOT moves.
  • Possess a NR Stamp.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports directly to the 2nd shift Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Thorough knowledge of investment casting methods and procedures. This includes materials, conditions, processes, and controls.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Three years of experience in a casting repair role.
