Tasks
Your main tasks include, among others:
- Implementing and monitoring LCAG handling processes
- Overseeing and inspecting GHA service performance in line with contracts and SLAs
- Holding regular performance review meetings with GHA and driving quality improvements
- Acting as the main contact for GHA, especially in cases of irregularities or escalations
- Ensuring adherence to safety and security procedures
- Coaching and developing GHA staff to meet LCAG standards
- Supervising and supporting LCAG staff, including providing performance feedback and managing resource planning
- Monitoring and reporting deviations from agreed standards, ensuring corrective actions are taken
- Preparing schedules, managing staffing needs, and authorizing overtime when necessary
- Providing regular updates to local management and contributing to process improvements
Requirements
The ideal Cargo Handling Supervisor should meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, airfreight handling, and/or operations
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Computer skills, including MS Office
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Problem-solving mindset and customer focus
- Reliability, professionalism, and teamwork
- Willingness to travel and work shifts
- Comfortable with outdoor work, varying weather, and moderate noise levels
