Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, this position involves overseeing the daily operations of the Maintenance Hangar Operation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies, and maintaining the highest standards of aircraft quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation Maintenance Management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Supervise, train, and direct all hangar personnel assigned to the maintenance department.
- Plan and control all aircraft maintenance activities.
- Maintain all maintenance records, checking mechanical irregularities, and ensured all discrepancies were properly addressed.
- Ensure all aircraft are properly maintained in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, ADs, and Operations Specifications D&E, in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Maintenance Manuals.
- Ensure all aircraft are reweighed as directed by 14 CFR 135.185.
- Ensure work performed on TSC’s aircraft is performed by properly trained and qualified personnel.
- Liaising with all non-company persons or approved maintenance providers performing maintenance on TSC aircraft.
- Schedule and track routine maintenance, time-limited component changes, and unscheduled maintenance.
- Ensure proper maintenance record entries are made.
- Removing from service any aircraft that are unsafe, or that do not comply with Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Ensure parts and components are ordered and received on a timely basis.
- Initiate requisitions for stock and material required.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are in serviceable condition.
- Assist with the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System.
- Ensuring that all operations processes and procedures include risk management mitigation as specified in the safety management system.
- Ensuring that personnel under his/her authority participate effectively in the safety management system.
