Overview

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of line maintenance at their assigned stations(s).

Responsibilities
  • Supervise Technical Representatives and/or Line Maintenance Supervisor(s) as assigned. Coordinate personnel schedules to provide maintenance as required in support of aircraft operations.
  • Ensure safe and efficient maintenance of company aircraft within his geographic area, in accordance with company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for managing, coordinating and providing oversight for contract line maintenance in his geographic area as necessary.
  • Ensure personnel under his supervision are trained and qualified in accordance with GMM policies and procedures. Assign, monitor and document on-job training as required to ensure a proficient, trained and qualified workforce.
  • Monitor Flight Schedules and fleet status to ensure best use of resources, ground time parameters, and aircraft routing.
  • Coordinate line maintenance requirements with MCC, Maintenance Stations, Materials, Quality Control, and A/C Planning/Marketing Departments.
  • Maintain surveillance of line maintenance activity at assigned station(s). Provides resources and technical support as necessary in cases of major mechanical problems.
  • Responsible for the timely repair of deferred maintenance items. Plans and assigns specific repairs to qualified personnel consistent with availability of materials and aircraft ground time.
  • Ensure communication between Maintenance shift personnel regarding aircraft status and incomplete maintenance issues to ensure that maintenance not completed as a result of shift changes or other interruption is completed before an aircraft is returned to service.
  • Responsible for timely return of correct and accurate aircraft maintenance log pages to HDQ.
  • Coordinate with MCC for maintenance and aircraft status information. Maintains liaison with MCC for planning purposes and routing of aircraft with significant maintenance problems to stations where repairs can be effectively accomplished with minimum disruption to aircraft scheduled pattern.
  • Monitor mechanical problems, Aircraft and Powerplant performance. Repeat Item and Oil Watch Programs. Formulates corrective action plans in coordination with MCC.
  • Provide technical assistance and coordinates with operators with whom Atlas Air has contractual obligations and/or maintenance agreements.
  • Maintain communication with Station/Regional Manager to ensure cost effective application of resources and provisioning at respective stations.
  • Monitor line station spare engines and regional availability of lease engines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Station/Regional Maintenance Manager

Job Requirements:
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or above, or equivalent work experience
  • Must hold a current and valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Ten years of commercial, heavy jet maintenance experience with 3 years in a management capacity.
  • Must maintain Atlas Air qualification and authorization for Airworthiness Release.
  • Strong technical skills, Boeing 777/747/767 experience preferred and desirable.
  • Major/Base and Line maintenance experience preferred and desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Ability to manage large aircraft projects
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to identify cost effective maintenance solutions
  • Ability to utilize company software systems for analysis and data interrogation.
  • Fluent and spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Must hold,or be able to obtain a Hong Kong driving license.
