Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is committed to safety as the top priority. They are responsible for maintaining equipment in the plant. The Maintenance Supervisor provides work crews with safety leadership, direction, and guidance to carry out planned Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) Maintenance tasks as well as responding to work requests in a timely manner. Provide leadership during emergencies involving equipment in their area. In addition to daily activities the Supervisor role is responsible for looking forward to planned outages, coordinating downtime requirements, scheduling resources, and ensuring the job is prepared.
Essential Functions
Ensure compliance with all Safety and Environmental Standards.

Equipment PM/PdM’s and services.
Non-routine repairs
Planned and scheduled Maintenance Work Orders (MWO’s)
Monitor and control maintenance labor costs (overtime, absenteeism, work crew sizing and productivity)
Monitor and control maintenance material and supply costs (daily consumable’s, non-routine supplies, review “best buy / best quality” with planners and vendors.
Assign each crewmember a full shift of work and control the quality of work.
Ensure quality repairs to equipment and systems.
Utilizes available resources to aide other supervisors/areas if needed.
Ensure the timely completion of assigned work.
Arrange crew vacations, timekeeping and disciplinary actions.
Approve and coordinate overtime.
Validate PM/PdM work and service worksheets.
Work Order entry and closure in the system.
Maintain safety records.
Order parts and supplies as necessary.
Safety training, new equipment orientation, new tool applications, and selected craft skill training and education.
Coach and encourage crewmembers.
Understand the Collective Bargaining Agreement and enforce in a fair and consistent manner.
Assist in development of yearly budgets.
Provide direction, coaching, support and instruction to all reporting positions.
Promote a work environment that motivates peers and subordinates.
Support and enforce all company policies and procedures.
Recognize opportunities for enhancements and implement.

Education and Experience
B.S. in electrical/mechanical field. 5-plus years as a Maintenance Technician or similar background with 2 - 4 years department Supervisory experience.
Special Skills
Full knowledge of switch gears power distribution, Medium and High voltage
Full Knowledge of Industrial controls trouble shooting
Full knowledge of rely logic controls
Being able to read electrical blueprints
Proficient in plc programing, and trouble shooting.
Full knowledge of High-power rectifiers
Working knowledge of Smart instrument technology.
Ability to calibrate weighing systems
Experience with flow, pressure, and level transmitter, and being able to install and fully calibrate
Full knowledge of proportional valves (air hydraulic ET…)
Experience with Analytical Instrumentation.
Ability to interpret and understand P&IDs.
Working knowledge of control systems.
Ability to work with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Good estimating, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Minimum $77,200.00
Maximum $96,400.00
