SUMMARY The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing technical assistance and will coordinate efforts with production teams in order to achieve the planned work and production goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Coordinate Operations activities between hangars. - Coordinate Operations activities between shifts. - Perform hangar audits. - Provide technical support as required. - Communicate to Management any problems and suggested solutions. - Ensure overall customer satisfaction. - Travel may be required. - All other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities for Lead Mechanics, Mechanics and hangar staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university preferred. Minimum of five-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required. Must possess a current and active FAA A&P Certificate. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, lift, bend, squat and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. WORK ENVIRONMENT The environment characteristic for this position is an aircraft hangar setting.Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional business setting. Candidate must be able to work day or evening shifts, weekends and overtime.
