Job overview and responsibilities

Responsible for managing United’s catering management system utilized by business partners to cater flights globally. Leads the team that coordinates and supports data entry to enable the implementation of onboard menu offerings. Oversees the communication necessary for timely distribution and assimilation of menu and equipment specifics across the network.

  • Lead a team responsible for accurate and timely implementation of catering information within United’s catering management system, ensuring data accuracy and effective communication across the catering network
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to secure all required inputs to accurately complete data entry
  • Develop and maintain proper processes and tools to accurately translate United-approved menus and recipes into technical specifications
  • Coordinate and communicate menu specifications for onboard menu offerings through Food Service Messages for timely awareness among distribution and catering partners
  • Lead projects and initiatives interfacing with the scheduling system. Identify and resolve concerns or technical issues affecting data administration
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the meal menu schedules are accurate within scheduling system
  • Manage administrative functions related to systems set-up and maintenance, vendor access management, and other general corporate requirements

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree
  • Hospitality, Business Administration or a similar discipline
  • 6+ years of previous experience with data entry and clerical work to support large teams and systems
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong management skills
  • Experience working with data management systems
  • Ability to work in a time sensitive environment with bi-weekly schedule filing deadlines.
  • Extremely detail oriented with a strong scheduling and network background
  • Project management skills to successfully lead scheduling projects impacting Menu Planning, Catering Operations and Infl
  • Project management, problem solving, menu planning experience preferred
  • Experience working with CAE management systems
  • Knowledge in catering operations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Masters degree
  • Business Administration or a similar discipline in Hospitality, Catering / Food Services or Airline Industry
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Project management, problem solving, menu planning experience preferred
  • Experience working with CAE management systems
  • Knowledge in catering operations
