What Will You Be Doing?

Its a great time to join Frontier! Frontier Airlines is a rapidly growing ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) in the United States, committed to providing affordable air travel with a focus on delivering exceptional value and customer service. The Technical Pricing, Manager ideal candidate will lead a pricing team whose main function is owning the technical aspects of Frontiers airline pricing processes, leveraging industry-leading tools and analytics to optimize revenue and drive growth. Your team will oversee maintaining the pricing database in ATPCO and Navitaire systems, own Frontier pricing audit processes as well as co-leading the promotional plan with strategic and marketing teams.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees the development/refinement and training for specialized fares/categories/rules in ATPCO/Navitaire
  • Oversees in the development of goals and determining areas that need focus within Groups, Meetings & Conventions
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies and tactics to maximize revenue and profitability across all routes and fare classes.
  • Provides technical direction/objectives and coordinates efforts of specialists in the performance of assigned projects.
  • Provides senior management with updates and guidance on promotional strategies.
  • Assists ATPCO/Navitaire systems including training of users and adjustments to new technology and category filings.
  • Manage process of skills development of individual members of the department.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Specialized/Technical Pricing, working closely with other key stakeholders in the company, such as Distribution, marketing, and Revenue Management teams.
  • Work with Frontier legal counsel as it pertains to contracts.
  • Work with Manager, Strategic Pricing to ensure accurate and timely filings.
  • Responsible for Frontiers General Rules Tariff.
  • Develop and manage multi-billion dollar budget!

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Aviation Management, Business Management or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with day-to-day usage of a revenue management system
  • 3+ years experience in pricing and revenue management required.
  • 5+ years of experience in airline commercial function preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of the overall structure and operation of specialized/strategic pricing department
  • Knowledge of the overall airline pricing rules and guidelines, published and private
  • Demonstrates consistent deductive Skills
  • Able to efficiently summarize changes and actions
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
