Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Business Operations Manager for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position plays a critical role in the operational and financial performance of the Engineering & Logistics Department. Responsibilities include leading employees, financial management, and directing operations. The Business Operations Manager will ensure the overall operation of the Department is functioning at high standards and high efficiency by interfacing with managers on financial, operational, and human resource matters and providing direct input/support to the Vice President and other members of the Leadership Team.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Engineering and Logistics department in leading employees, financial management and directing operations
- Ensure the overall operation of the Department is functioning at high standards and high efficiency by interfacing with managers on financial, operational, and human resource matters and providing direct input/support to the Vice President and other members of the Leadership Team
- Serve as Budget Manager for overhead and capital budgets
- Organize and coordinate monthly Line of Business (LOB) reviews
- Assist the LOB Vice President in managing the bookings forecast
- Manage and report metrics
- Schedule and organize agendas for the department to include weekly staff meetings, department reviews and annual succession planning
- Facilitate and follow through on special projects, as assigned, including:
- Professional and organizational development
- Cost-cutting and process improvement initiatives
- Core competency evaluations
- Salary evaluations
- Teambuilding
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Other responsibilities, as needed by the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient technical expertise with demonstrated application
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, communication and writing skills
