Job Summary
Leonardo DRS is seeking a full time Manager of General Accounting for our Bridgeton, MO facility. The Manager of General accounting will be responsible for handling the monthly close cycle, preparing and processing journal entries, maintaining the chart of account and mappings, preparing account reconciliations, financial reporting and loading data into consolidation reporting systems. Additionally, monitoring of inventory transaction flow in the manufacturing environment will be required.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply principles of accounting to monitor and analyze financial information, and prepare specialized reports
- Manage accurate, timely, completion of reports
- Balance books and prepare accounting statements (i.e., profit/loss, income, cash flow, etc.) and schedule
- Record assets and liabilities and other financial transactions
- Maintain records of disbursements and expenses
- Review accounts and reports for accuracy
- Support audits to include Internal, External and Government
- May contribute to the design or modification of accounting systems
- Contribute to improving processes and procedures that accurately capture, track and report on financial transactions
- Ensure adherence to and communication of accounting policies and procedures
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 5+ years of accounting experience (or equivalent related education and experience)
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Proven proficiency in leading the day-to-day activities of the department
- Expert knowledge of Excel is required
- Costpoint experience is a plus
- Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS policies and procedures is a plus
The expected pay scale for this position is $101,553.00/year - $157,661.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
