Role Summary
The Manager, Procurement Analytics is responsible for leading a team that conducts in-depth research and analysis of supply chain-related data to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role establishes a structure, policies, and procedures to meet stakeholder requirements, improve supplier performance, and generate insights to improve total value across Air Group spend.
Key Duties
Lead team and establish priorities to drive key insights around supplier performance, cost, spanet pressures, and supply chain resiliency
Develops annual strategic plans to ensure appropriate supplier performance management within Supply Chain and identifies key inputs and indicators of supply and cost risk.
Establishes framework for supplier performance management and Key Performance Indicators for Supply Chain team.
Develop dashboards, reports and escalations to drive proactive vendor management and negotiation strategies
Conduct spanet research to understand pricing trends, supplier capabilities, and spanet conditions.
Assess the impact of external indicators (inclusive of indices, inflation, and other spend drivers) to determine cost containment and forecasting strategies
Develop financial models and frameworks for strategic sourcing projects.
Establish cadence with Supply Chain team to further outcomes in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations
Lead and/or advise in cross-functional meetings to align Supply Chain strategies with organizational goals
Develop strategy to ensure supply chain activities align with budgetary requirements
Lead initiatives to streamline processes and enhance data analysis by evaluating and recommending improvements to Supply Chain strategies, policies, and procedures
Apply analytical knowledge and use considerable judgement to develop strategies and approaches to ambiguous challenges and complex business problems.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, sourcing, transportation, material control, analytics or other related area.
2 years of leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
Organizational and administrative skills, able to balance multiple priorities and manage critical timelines.
Adept at “root cause analysis” with strong problem-solving skills
Proficient at translating complex datasets into actionable insights that can drive Supply Chain decisions
Demonstrated competence in change management techniques and challenging the status quo
Proficiency in essential computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Detailed working knowledge and understanding of analytics functions.
Advanced SQL skills
Demonstrated experience working with disparate data sources
Working experience with visualization techniques, dashboard design, and decision support tools; experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Analytic mindset and a proven history of continuous self-development
Ability to conduct research and to complete financial analyses with minimal support
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
5 years of leading cross functional teams or projects
Airline industry experience with a demonstrated track record of developing strong customer/supplier relationships and the ability to think systemically to make sound, timely business decisions
Familiarity with reading technical documentation/drawings and using enterprise class ERP systems (i.e., PeopleSoft and/or TRAX)
Practical experience with the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process preferred
Demonstrated project management experience
Master of Arts or Master of Science degree

Salary Range
$113,200-$169,800 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
