Northrop Grumman, Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for a Manager, Programs Level 1 to support our growing portfolio of classified production programs within the Advanced Mission Capabilities business unit’s Restricted organization unit onsite in Baltimore, MD. The selected candidate for this position will be leading the change management process and managing the risk and opportunities for multiple production contracts.
What Youll Get to Do:
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and monitor adherence to the risk management process.
- Maintain a comprehensive risk and opportunity register documenting all identified risks, their likelihood, impact, mitigation strategies, and assigned owners.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to identify and assess risks and opportunities as they relate to the successful execution of the various production contracts.
- Work with the cross-function team to develop mitigation plans for identified risks and monitor status and financial impact of these plans.
- Status executive leadership, program management, the customer and other program stakeholders of identified risks and opportunities, mitigation plans, and risk and opportunity status changes.
- Develop and monitor adherence to the change management process.
- Support the development of proposals associated with changes that impact any of the production contracts.
- Adhere to all internal processes, policies, and industry standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk and opportunity within a production program.
- Experience supporting proposals of various sizes.
- Possess cross-functional collaboration experience with different functional groups (i.e supply chain, manufacturing, mission assurance, business management, engineering, etc) to achieve a common result.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance with full investigation with the last 6 years at time of application, with the ability to obtain a SAP clearance after starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a cost account manager, program cost analyst, contract administrator, or project manger.
- Change management experience.
Salary Range: $124,000 - $186,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
