Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Manager of Benefits facilitates benefit administration. Development of strategy for benefit elections, administration of open enrollment. Focus is operational in nature and includes significant analysis and communication to Senior Management.
Job Responsibilities
- Drives communication/education for all employees.
- Partners with AA and the Shared Services Organization (SSO).
- Assists the SSO in assuring the company maintains compliance with provisions of FMLA, and HIPAA.
- Reviews Plan performance sharing reports with Finance and Senior Leadership.
- Investigate and recommend new and different employee benefit options.
- Develop timelines and lead the Open Enrollment process company-wide.
- Manage the benefit portion of the new hire orientation process:
- EAP
- Wellness
- Relocation
- Various Leaves of Absence
- Workers Compensation
- Employee Travel Privileges
- Provide the necessary HRMS support information timely and accurately.
- Work with the Communication Team to ensure all benefit documents are posted to the employee Portal in a timely manner.
- Assess and help leaders and managers understand and administer personnel policies, programs, and procedures necessary for business success.
- Responsible for the Companys Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business field
- 5 years of experience in human resources
- 2 years of experience in managing employee benefits
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office software
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Ability to speak/read/write in English
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification
Additional Information
Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Director of Talent Management.
Authorities: None.
Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.
