Responsibilities Position Summary The Manager of Crew Scheduling Automation and Deployment will be focused on project development and training to provide tools for consistency and increased performance to the daily operation. This position is responsible for the oversight and supervision of Crew Resources team to ensure that all programs, software, and training needs are being achieved. The Manager will embody the PSA Way and incorporate its elements into every program, process, and action. The overarching goal is to produce the highest quality scheduling team and performance in the Regional Airline industry, which supports our mission to always deliver satisfied customers to their destination safely and on time. Job Responsibilities
  • Subject matter expert for all the software used by Crew Scheduling, and Crew Members software that interfaces with scheduling personnel, including owner of controlled Crew Scheduling policy and procedure manual.
  • Ability to understand and work at an abstract level to utilize technology as a tool to identify and solve complex scheduling problems. Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, and other developers, along with internal customers to understand development needs according to business requirements and ensure decisions meet our long-term growth needs.
  • Determine business requirements, translate them into user stories, and track through the complete development and/or change life cycle using Agile methodologies including iteration planning, story estimation, daily stand-up meetings, demos, testing and successful implementation for deployment and delivery.
  • Interface with IT, end users and vendors to develop appropriate user testing procedures and acceptance criteria. Ensure coordinated planning, evaluation, and implementation of new decision support systems between IT and Business.
  • Analyzes and monitors performance and provides supervision and support of application after implementation.
  • Oversee, develop and facilitate training plans that will optimize the performance and efficiency of the Crew Resources team, including recurrent training.
  • Provides education, guidance and support for new and existing applications and team level challenges through training software and products, including LMS.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures by initiating communication and brainstorming sessions.
  • Manage and oversee multiple fast-paced assigned projects with distributed teams to enhance current processes and performance.
  • Supervise, lead and motivate the Crew Resources team to apply new applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provides coaching and assists with on-the-job training for the Crew Scheduling Department.
  • Provides support and fills in for Manager of Crew Scheduling when needed.
  • Assist as needed with daily operations during IROPS events.
  • Responsible for the Companys Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics Qualifications Required
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
  • At least 4-6 years as Crew Scheduling Coordinator or above.
  • Crew planning or related airline experience.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
Preferred
  • Previous leadership experience.

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Director of Crew Resources.

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.
