Responsibilities
Position SummaryThe Manager of Inflight Standards and Delivery impacts PSA Airlines’ operations by having oversight and development of PSA’s Flight Attendant manuals and policies and procedures, the Check Flight Attendant Program, and the Inflight Training delivery team. This position works closely with the Manager of Inflight Instructional Design to ensure all training is delivered according to FAA and PSA regulations and requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and enhance all PSA Flight Attendant manuals, to include the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), Onboard Service Manual (OSM), and other required manuals to support PSA operations and its Flight Attendants.
- Interface with and maintain a close working relationship with other departmental leaders, both internal and external, to ensure all policies developed and utilized within the Inflight Department do not conflict with regulatory, departmental or airline goals.
- Work closely with the Manager Inflight Instructional Design in the development and implementation of Inflight training programs in accordance with PSA’s Flight Attendant Training Manual (FATM), selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the training situation.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Inflight Instructional Design to ensure consistent application of all training curricula, to include auditing of instructional methodologies.
- Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements (CFRs, TSRs, DOTs, security directives), company policies and procedures and ensure those requirements are being applied within the training environment as well as the curriculum.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for airline cabin safety and service for PSA Airlines and the Inflight Services department.
- Utilize their influence as a SME to represent PSA Airlines and the Inflight Services organization in departmental audits (IOSA, DOD, DOT, TSA, SMS) and industry forums.
- Maintain, update, and enhance the Check Flight Attendant (CFA) Program, to include the selection, training, management, and calibration of the CFAs.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and approval as applicable of an Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Advanced Qualification Program (AQP).
- Responsible for the Companys Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership position.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
- Retain qualification and currency as a PSA Airlines Flight Attendant on all aircraft types to which flight attendant personnel are assigned.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements (CFRs, TSRs, DOTs, security directives).
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US
Preferred
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in aviation or Adult Learning, Instructional Systems Design, or Instructional Technology.
- Five (5) years of airline or education experience.
Additional Information
Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.
Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Assistant Director of Inflight Training and Standards.
Authorities: None
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
