Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- The daily operation of assigned repair station Planning and Material Group duties.
- Effectively coordinate all aspects of the Planning Department in package preparation to ensure all five phases of package development are completed efficiently on-time and accurate.
- Work with purchasing to align proper levels of procurement and establish priorities.
- Effectively manage all inventory transactions (volume and accuracy) while striving to reduce errors.
- Ensure personnel are trained and qualified.
- Delegate work assignments based on schedule priorities and staff experience.
- Managing time-controlled material, tooling system, and material systems for adequate stock of approved common use items.
- Ensure availability of required tooling for schedules work to provide a smooth maintenance flow.
- Plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received from vendors.
- Routinely tour the stores area to evaluate daily operations, and resolve issues as identified.
- Perform accurate and timely physical counts related to warehouse productivity and accuracy.
- Meet Shipping goals, performance standards, and ensure timely delivers.
- Enforce and lead safety programs for all employees.
- Create an environment of continuous improvement within the Materials Department by developing and implementing effective policies and procedures.
- Drive performance improvements and accountability across the entire operations team.
- Execute short term and long-term improvement objectives and report results weekly/monthly.
- Guarantee that all customers are treated in a courteous and professional manner.
- Manage the planning of space utilization to meet cost standards & productivity goals.
- Suggest methods for improving layout designs.
- Ensure all records/ reports for warehouse /repair station activity are prepared on a timely basis
- Manage the recording of outgoing and incoming freight for proper counts and codes.
- Oversee GSE inventory and equipment purchases.
- Manage department budget.
- Ensure customer supplied work packages are properly estimated/fixed priced and prepared for release to the production floor
- Create billing group matrix for cost accounting to support customer and Company billing requirements.
- Ensure individual work cards are entered into ERP System with job description, planned man-hours and any customer card references as necessary.
- Produce Company paperwork with bar codes or attach bar code labels to customer paperwork for labor and material tracking.
- Research all technical reference data needed to accomplish work cards and attach to work deck where applicable.
- Develop aircraft flow charts listing timeline of milestones to be completed by day for each check and above project and provide a master flowchart to support the plan.
Update chart weekly on production floor for completed and rescheduled tasks, additional milestone (major discrepancies), departure date, etc., as input is provided by aircraft maintenance management personnel.
- Provide aircraft post-departure analytical report as required to show each projects performance criteria.
- Assist management in forecasting all manpower, facility, tooling, and material requirements using customer provided work scopes.
- Schedule pre-induction meetings for all Maintenance and other support staff as necessary to provide an overview of each projects work scope.
Education and Experience:
- Must have B.S. Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of business and/or management experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven management experience.
- Self-motivated, strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability for lift at least 50 pounds.
- Continuous lifting, bending, twisting, and crouching.
Other Requirements:
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
