To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a dependable, motivated, and knowledgeable leader to join our team as the Manager, Advanced Qualifications Program (AQP). The Manager of AQP helps maintain the AQP Manual and is responsible for all AQP data and auditing. The objective of the position is to ensure a safe and reliable training program in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations and AC 120-54A. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of AQP based training, data collection, and data analysis. This position reports to the Director, Flight Training.
Essential Duties:
Maintain a regulatory compliant AQP data process
Help maintain a three volume AQP manual
Ensure a safe and proficient pilot group using data collection and analysis
Monitor trends in the training program to predict the need for future changes to the AQP
Serve as a line of open communications between the Training Department and the AQP Department
Attend Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) meetings
Interface with the staff, instructors, and check pilots of the Flight Training department
Participate in the Safety Risk Management program and the Operations Data Analysis Group
Serve as a subject matter expert for AQP management, curricula design, and AQP regulatory compliance
Take a lead role in the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and Department of Defense (DOD) audit process
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
Proficient with common database software and applications
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe publishing software
A thorough understanding of AC 120-54A and the Subpart Y section of the Code of Federal Regulations
High degree of skill with curricula development and computer-based training solutions
Available to work independently and prioritize tasks to maintain completion schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior employment in a training related position
Prior employment with a Part 121 airline
Previous experience with pilot training programs
Previous experience with database management
Work Environment:
Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
Occasional travel, able to spend nights away from home when company or FAA meetings are out of base
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
