Responsibilities
The Business and Operations Manager is a Department Head with full responsibility and accountability for all administrative and financial functions at the station. These include, but are not limited to: Oversight of resource planning, station Revenue reporting, team member parking, airport badging, station budget planning and capital planning, monthly financial reporting, interfacing with business partners and airport authorities on issues involving contracts, administration and finances, communication and coordination with other station departments and head office, and ensuring that the department adheres to all company and regulatory standards, policies and procedures. This position will partner with operating department heads to continuously improve operational effectiveness and cost efficiencies within the station.
- Meet or exceed station financial goals: Ensure that the station develops an appropriate budget and effectively manages to that budget by working with all department heads and functional areas.
- Lead the development of the annual budget and capital plan for the station.
- Participate in monthly budget reviews and ensure all variances are fully investigated and corrective actions are taken.
- Effective management of station administration: Establish and oversee procedures and staffing to ensure smooth daily management of administrative functions, asset management, contract management, staff planning, and any business issues with the airport authority (Broward County Aviation Department) or business partners.
- Participate in airport and business partner meetings as needed.
- Prepare financial justification for budgets, station projects and staffing requests.
- Operational partnership with the Guest Service, Ramp Service and Operations Center.
- Partnership with various work groups, projects, contracts and station budget.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Operations Manager and/or Administrative Management)
- 3-5 years of experience.

- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
- Must be present 100 of the time.
