As the Sr Manager of Operations you will: 

  • The Sr Manager of Product Line (Engines) manages, plans, directs and coordinates overall engine Asset Management to achieve established goals and objectives. This position is responsible for the successful Modeling and monetization of CFM56 jet engines, modules, and accessories. The Director plans, prioritizes and directs organizational activity to ensure expedient and efficient Engine Teardowns, Engine Repairs, Module Repairs, Engine Leases, Part Repairs, Part Sales, Module Sales, quality work, and organizational profitability.
  • Achieves objectives by developing and maintaining a competent Operations and Technical Team engaged in production planning and control, scheduling, quality, as well as, staff development and employee relations. 
  • Performs the Financial Modeling and Bids of incoming Engine Asset opportunities from potential Vendors (Airlines, Lessors, etc.). This includes Review of Engine Records, LLP Status, Previous Shop Visits, ECM Trend Condition Monitoring, Borescope Inspections, Service Bulletin Status, Airworthiness Directives Status, etc.
  • Act as a “Product Line Specialist” and ensure to communicate with Sales regarding the Value / Modeled Assumptions pertaining to incoming Engine Assets for optimal monetization in accordance with Financial Models. 
  • Frequently perform market analysis of CFM56 Engines and Components, continually use data to update the PTS Modeling tool and communicate market trends with the PTS Sales Team
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret the CFM56 Engine Service Manual and Component Maintenance Manuals In order to assist the PTS Sales Team with customer inquiries
  • Determine and manage necessary Work Scopes of incoming Engine Assets and Modules intended for Repair.
  • Perform and oversee the Repair Management of incoming Engine Assets and Modules for teardown, lease, or re-sale  
  • Perform and oversee the Technical Management of Engine Leases
  • Perform and oversee the Technical Approval of incoming Engine and Module Assets. 
  • Coordinates and liaises with the Technical Records, Operations, Quality Assurance Team, Sales, Engineering, Finance, etc. to resolve difficult or continuing problems and ensure operational objectives and goals are achieved.
  • Monitors and analyzes output, delivery dates, labor, quality, staffing, facility usage, budget, financial performance, etc. for all engine Assets. Leads and participates in the resolution of problems and the reinforcement of continuous improvement. 
  • Controls production costs by setting production standards and implementing methods improvements and cost saving programs. 
  • Conducts analysis to ensure the site operations continue to operate in a cost-effective manner as technological, legal, regulatory, policy and product changes are implemented.
  • Actively participates in the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
  • Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.
  • Carries out special projects as assigned. 

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration or a related discipline (CIM, CPIM, APICS); or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Business Aviation, MRO, Corporate Business Jet environment involved with the maintenance and support of turbine engines.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing and/or remanufacturing environment.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • CFM56 engine experience preferred.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of PCs in the current company operating system environment.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • Working knowledge of company instructions, company processes, administrative policies and procedures, and export compliance regulations.
