This position’s key responsibility within the Revenue Management branch (RM), is to lead the development and execution of activities in support of Kaleidoscope, a multi-year technology and practice to maximize revenues from all flights operated in Air Canada’s network. Activities will entail change management, project management, process optimization, continuous improvement, governance and reporting, and stakeholder management. The opportunity is based at Air Canada’s Montreal Headquarters in Dorval.

Scope

  • Development, implementation, adoption and monitoring of plans & strategies for change initiatives and/or projects within Revenue Management.
  • Engage senior leaders, collaborate, and guide RM community to maximize adoption and sustain changes.
  • Creation and delivery of communication relevant to change initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support training efforts related to changes or improvements of steady state. 

Responsibilities :

  • Work in cross-functional project teams and closely with RM teams, to understand the practices and workflows that support commercial needs, and aim to exceed our targets
  • Remain constantly aware of market performance and challenges met by the RM community
  • Develop and execute highly effective strategies for RM community on new tools, business processes, best practices and RM system enhancements
  • Evaluate the impacts of planned changes, and identify risks to proactively develop risk mitigation tactics
  • Engage and influence leaders to support before, during, and after changes are rolled out
  • Collaborate and guide Revenue Management community to maximize long term adoption and sustain/align change initiatives with broader commercial objectives
  • Create processes and KPIs to develop system support and reinforcement mechanisms for monitoring long term adoption
  • Create an innovative environment and develop structured strategies to introduce changes in the RM workflows, while maintaining flexibilities to adapt to ambiguous situations 
  • Coach and guide project teams on common change management methodologies and practices to foster a culture of adaptability and responsiveness to change within the revenue optimization and revenue management teams
  • Support training design and delivery, and improvements to current training programs by providing inputs, documenting requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of training programs
  • Create and deliver communication relevant to change initiatives for Revenue Management and external stakeholders, to articulate changes, benefits and expectations. Proactively communicate and inform external business teams about RM change initiatives.
  • Work in concert with RM, Revenue Optimization, and other teams to maximize synergies and to ensure the best use of RM levers and cohesion between them

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field of study (Business, Management, Economics) 
  • Change management or project management certification preferred
  • 3-5 years previous work experience in a similar capacity helping corporations implement system, practice changes i.e. demonstrated change or project management skills/best practices
  • Strong analytical mindset and critical thinking skills. Must be able to lead change initiatives with a structured methodology/process and a forward-looking, holistic approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and viewed as credible, and to influence and persuade others to action
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Self-starter and ability to work under pressure, changing priorities and tight deadlines with limited supervision
  • Proficient using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience with airline revenue management, a definite asset
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and methodology is an asset
