- Develop and provide strategic direction for overall Supplier Quality of Singapore Ops including cost of poor quality, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and part conformance.
- Appointed as main supplier focus point of contact to develop and perform customer presentations on major/critical investigations
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure their work meet established overall operations’ targets and standards through support activities such as methods and procedures, planning and revision, gage planning and review, quality and reliability engineering, review and disposition of material variances
- Support GOPS central level with corrective actions & recovery efforts for assigned suppliers.
- Liaise with GOPS Supplier Quality Lead on metrics, ZDP, CAB, urgent needs/ feedback from sites and supplier issues impacting multiple sites.
- Liaise with GOPS Supplier Quality lead on supplier status, performance and escalation / help needed.
- Execute Supplier’s Quality Business Review and ZDP activities with high pain and poor performing suppliers.
- Manage Supplier Performance metrics for the sites, i.e. Clinic Metrics, Management reviews, CABs, Non-Negotiable, present current status to leadership team and recovery efforts.
- Support Procurement/Accenture with RTV’s and RMS requests when product to be returned is needed to support an investigation.
- Review and approve supplier ETQ responses – driving to best mistake proof level as possible, ensuring the solution is robust.
Qualification and Education Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Production Engineering.
- MBA or a higher degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
- At least 12 years’ experience in a Precision Engineering / Manufacturing / Quality environment inclusive of at least 5 years in management position.
- Strong and sound knowledge in the concept of Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives.
- Good analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with excellent people management and leadership skills.
