Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Manufacturing Associate Manager to join our team in Courtland, AL!
As a Manufacturing Associate Manager, you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplined team at our Courtland, Alabama facility, overseeing component manufacturing, disassembly, and assembly operations. Your primary objectives will include driving day-to-day improvement activities, developing mid-to-long range strategies, and ensuring production meets scheduled deadlines.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Lead and manage a team of employees and leaders, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
* Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and customers to maintain sustainable working relationships.
* Drive day-to-day improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Develop and execute mid-to-long range strategies to achieve business objectives.
* Ensure production meets scheduled deadlines, managing workflows and resource allocation as needed.
* Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and presentation/organizational skills.

Work Environment:
* The Team Lead will work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on producing high-quality components.
* The role will involve regular interaction with employees, managers, and customers, as well as collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* The Manufacturing Associate Manager will be expected to work weekends and to have flexible hours, including evenings, to meet business demands.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experiencing in manufacturing and/or production.
• Experience informally or formally leading a team.
• Interim Secret clearance required prior to start. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Manufacturing experiences in areas of component manufacturing, disassembly, assembly, and materials management preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Experience with aircraft or autobody surface preparation and coatings/painting and/or anti-corrosion chemical application and treatment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Experience with performance metrics and benchspaning.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
• Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies.
• Kaizen, Kanban, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience, Green Belt Certified
Leadership
• Demonstrated skills in building and leading high-performing teams.
• Ability to motivate and develop team members to achieve exceptional results.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
Production Processes:
• Clear understanding of the production processes employed within Lockheed Martin
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martins manufacturing systems and procedures
Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including team members, peers, and management.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Experience:
• Understanding of MRP principles and practices
• Experience working with MRP systems, with the ability to plan and manage material requirements effectively.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
