Job Description:

Description:This position coordinates the facilitization efforts of Pike County Operations (PCO) to meet new demand signals from the customer. This role will work closely with in-house Program Management, Facilities Engineering, Program Engineering and Production Operations staff as well as outside Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms and equipment suppliers to plan, develop and execute expansion, renovation, and new construction projects. The responsibilities will include: consulting with stakeholders to determine the functional & schedule requirements for new projects; preparing preliminary design layouts, equipment specifications, statements of work (SOWs), and estimating costs & schedule timelines; assist with evaluation of contractor bids providing expert analysis on equipment design, installation, cost and schedule statements; review construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, schedules and cost requirements; perform equipment adjustment, troubleshoot, repair or further system development for problem resolution and final commissioning; training of engineers and technicians on new equipment processes and operation. Must be a US Citizen, position requires special access. Must have ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
• Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, lead and prioritize work efforts, delegate and follow-up on task assignments, and monitor & control cost & schedule performance.
• Ability to read, interpret and convey information from engineering drawings & specifications and government codes & standards.
• Familiarity with creating manufacturing facilities layouts and the design, development & implementation of special factory equipment & tooling.
• Proficient in project management skills; scope definition, cost/schedule/risk management, and deliverable tracking.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
• Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
• Working knowledge of aerospace/missile/ordnance manufacturing factories, processes, equipment & tooling.
• Understanding of DoD 4145.26-M Contractor’s Ammunition & Explosives Safety Manual, ICD/ICS 705 Specification for Construction of Sensitive Information Facilities and with OSHA building & operating regulations.
• Ability to create accurate equipment design specifications, write effective SOWs, design factory layouts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software, and prepare schedules using MS Project or similar scheduling tool.
• Experience commissioning equipment from outside sources throughout all phases of project maturity from preliminary concept to final buy-off including supplier dispute resolution.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
