Boeing Global Services is seeking a NAS JAX​ P-8 Aircraft Maintenance Operations Manager for Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida to lead a diverse team of both Boeing and contractor maintenance technicians, Lead Mechanics and maintenance control personnel in the execution of P-8 aircraft maintenance that includes supporting aircraft flying schedules, customer training, performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities  accomplishing Technical Directives and occasional RTS (return to service) activity for post depot level maintenance.  This position will work closely with the domestic and international P-8 BGS Programs and GTO Leadership as well as Government Program Managers to support the planning, safe execution and delivery of quality products and services to U.S. Navy customers.  Position is located at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of maintenance and logistic personnel in the support of  P-8 maintenance operations at Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to safety, compliance and contract execution in collaboration with GTO Field Operations, P-8 Program and the US Navy and international customers

  • Ensures safe, compliant maintenance processes and procedures in accordance with Boeing Ground Operating Procedures and/or Naval Aviation maintenance Program (NAMP) 4790

  • Responsible for first time quality with the delivery of all products and services internal to Boeing and externally to US Navy and International customers

  • Develops and motivates a team of diverse skills, capability, and experience to effectively implement scheduled and unscheduled maintenance programs in support of aircraft availability, mission capability and flying operation schedules

  • Represents Boeing P-8 Program and Field Operations as the single point of contact with on-site (NAS JAX) customers

  • Interacts with senior internal and external customers on significant matters requiring coordination between organizations

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 

  • 3+ years of experience with Retrofit, Repairs, Modifications & Maintenance

  • 3+ years of experience performing in a leadership role

  • 3+ years of experience developing and/or maintaining integrated schedules

  • Knowledge of NAMP 4790

  • Willing to travel up to 10

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships

  • Experience working with junior and senior USN leadership

  • Experience with military-commercial derivative aircraft, aircraft systems and operation

  • Experience with P-8 maintenance and logistics operations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $107,950 – $146,050
