Job Summary

The work of the OCC-Manager includes leading/directing the OCC Specialists within assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; monitor/administer discipline/corrective action by or for subordinates; ensuring customer satisfaction by daily feedback; Proactively monitors the work of OCC staff to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards.  Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan. Ensures subordinates administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and implement solutions to operational support needs as requested.
  • Respond to building operational needs and work with facility general manager and operations team closely to resolve any operational issues.
  • Effectively train, manage and motivate personnel to perform support role at assigned OCC station.
  • Develop / train OCC team members to perform efficiently and effectively during daily operations.
  • Coordinate and delegate associated operational assignments to OCC staff in order to achieve operational targets.
  • Effectively present information to facility and station management.
  • Support facility management in their response to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and implementation of all cargo operational procedures
  • Ability to operate/train necessary software and systems.
  • Enforce companys Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
  • Assure proper compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
  • Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.

Minimum Requirements

  • Two to five years previous management/specialist supervisory experience in field service duties
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Independent judgment and decision-making skills required. 
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 WMP and ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
  • Proficiency in office suite, ACE, CDMP software.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with personal computer software is helpful.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Remain in a stationary position 50 of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
