Summary:
The Pratt & Whitney Canada organization is looking for a Senior Operations Manager (M6) to oversee all aspects of our engine center’s operations. This business unit is growing rapidly and looking for an experienced and driven leader who can leverage Operations Management experience to drive the business forward. Competencies that are critical for success in this role are a strong customer focus, adaptability, strategic thinking, and communication. Prior leadership experience thriving in highly visible within afterspanet aerospace industry is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Operations team of Managers and Supervisors across a multi shift engine overhaul and repair center.
- Create engine induction and delivery commitments that support the customer’s needs for the, while also being responsible for the execution of the output commits.
- Drive a culture that focuses on safety and quality of work by eliminating current barriers to success.
- Drive a reduction in shop visit cost and TAT through proven improvement methods while also integrating these efforts directly into our newly implemented CORE operating system.
- Coordinate with all other critical functions within the MRO business and Plant 81 site to yield continuous positive results and progress.
- Lead relationship with key logistics supplier to ensure efficient control of work in process and non-product supplies.
- Drive obligations to closure with precision to benefit the organization and every constituent.
- Creating 1–3-year strategies for expanded and necessary capacity, capability, and capital needs leveraging written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Being present and visible leader within the site, ERG, and community outreach activities.
- Drive maturity to the overall business operation and processes while developing leaders within the talented pool of employees.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 12+ years of experience within aerospace, aviation, afterspanet, or operations; OR Advanced degree along with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- 8+ years of advanced management experience leading and developing growing teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in STEM field; Business or Engineering preferred.
- Experience working with non-union and unionized highly technical workforce.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve business goals.
- Ability to work with all levels of organization, and communicate effectively with peers, customers, and clients.
- Experience within Disassembly, Assembly and Test (DAT)
- Afterspanet Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) experience, ideally within turbofan engine or aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of gas turbine repair and FAR 145/Far 121/FAR 65 quality standards.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. lean manufacturing, CORE, ACE, QCPC).

This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
