What You Will Do:

Our Hot Section Module Center (HSMC-South) business unit is looking for a highly motivated, technically talented individual to lead our night shift operations.  As the primary leader in our third shift, you will support all areas of production including Safety, Quality, Production, Material Procurement, and Cost Reduction.  You will also support ongoing project and process improvements critical to the department’s success.

This is a 3rd Shift position with working hours 12AM – 7:00AM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing direction to employees in our Blades group. 

  • Leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts. 

  • Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members. 

  • Establish work schedules and monthly delivery plans considering resource availability that align with customer needs and satisfy financial obligations. 

  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes. 

  • Achieve target performance levels through disciplined execution of the Standard Production System (SPS) including but not limited to: Tiered accountability, Visual management systems and

  • Leader Standard Work. 

  • Demonstrate clear focus on accountability to daily results, rapid identification of root cause and effective implementation of corrective actions. 

  • Drive development of a strong problem-solving culture, through application of tools. 

  • Champion sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements. 

  • Communicate to peers requirements at supporting process to ensure smooth process flow. 

  • Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship. 

  • Drive World-class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly. 

  • Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer happiness. 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Aerospace or Logistics Industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma and 9+ years of relevant industry experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract and only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.

  • 2+ years of operations leadership and personnel management experience, particularly within a manufacturing environment leading a union workforce.

  • Knowledge of Union-Management Collective Bargaining Agreements.

  • Experience with problem-solving tools such as root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).

  • Experience with Environmental Health & Safety principles.

  • Experience working with Solumina MES, SAP ERP, MS Office Suite.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including senior level management.

  • Successful completion of RTX enterprise OSCLDP in 2025

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
