As an Operations Excellence Project Manager, you’ll develop and evaluate improvement solutions to ensure alignment with Lean principles and Operations Excellence standards. In addition, you will analyze business processes to determine existing performance in terms of service, cost and quality, which involves gathering information through interviews, measurements, tests and observations.
StandardAero sis looking for an Ops Excellence Project Manager for our San Antonio, TX location
As an Ops Excellence Project Manager, you’ll
- Assists Business Units with the development and execution of improvement plans to meet scorecard objectives.
- Documents Operations Excellence best practices and assists in their deployment across sectors.
- Contribute to the Operations Excellence toolkit.
- Gather and analyzes detailed data to understand current performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead the development of Project Charters, Statements of Work and Project Plans while also assisting with the selection of project team members.
- Prepare cost benefit analysis.
- Provide mentor-ship to Business Unit personnel involved in implementing and maintaining Operations Excellence best practices.
- Assist in the development and delivery of Operations Excellence training.
- Provide OJT (on-the-job training) to project team members to meet project objectives.
- Facilitate the development of high-performance project teams.
- Provide post-implementation mentor-ship to customers.
- Develop and delivers presentations both internally and externally.
- Prepare edits and consolidates written reports for internal use.
- Complete professional development activities to maintain Operations Excellence expertise.
- Carry out special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree In Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce or related field and 5 years of related experience doing continuous improvement projects
- Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing and the Continual Improvement Process.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20 of the time
- Working knowledge of production management computer systems
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills
- Be able to provide Lean training to the workforce
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of production equipment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
- Minitab software experience
