A position has opened in Honeywells Performance Materials and Technology (PMT) business unit for an ambitious planning professional with experience in implementing and planning with Kinaxis Rapid Response and SAP.  Duties will initially focus on implementing Kinaxis Rapid Response in an integrated solution with SAP.  This will require some project management and change management skills with the ability to quickly understand the role of planning in making manufacturing sites successful.  The role will lead the planning functions adoption of the Honeywell Global Design Model (GDM) using Rapid Response for world-class planning processes.  Continuous improvement of planning processes will be key to successfully supporting S&OP, constraining an executable Master Production Schedule (MPS), and reducing inventory.

You will report to the Sr. Director of Materials Management with the opportunity to drive critical initiatives to transform the tools, process, and capabilities of our supply chain planning organization.   We call this initiative Fix & Sustain since we are implementing a new Month in the Life of a Demand and Supply Planner to drive sustainable improvements in Revenue/OI, Cost Reduction and improve our Free Cash Flow.  This project directly impacts all the PMT key KPIs to deliver shareholder value.

As a planning leader, you will lead the projects implementing planning systems and processes across the business units to ensure these initiatives deliver expected outcomes. You will support the SIOP leaders of several business divisions to execute the vision and goals.  Mentor, train, and develop planners to become effective in the improved operating system.  Partner with I.T. and the business to lead the resolution of system and process issues.  Navigate processes and people through change management to successfully deploy the Honeywell Global Design Model (GDM).

You will provide coaching, guidance, and indirect leadership to the planning community within Industrial Automation to increase their skills and capability in readiness for this transformation initiative. The successful candidate must be capable of performing project management tasks for a large-scale initiative involving the coordination & and facilitation of cross-functional meetings and training. Utilizing and deploying Lean Six Sigma techniques, leading continuous improvement activities, and achievement of superior performance across all KPIs (Key Performance Initiatives).

Responsibilities:

  • Improve planning processes in support of the Honeywell Planning Global Design Model (GDM).
  • Support S&OP leaders in preparing plans that drive the needed business balance and results.
  • Assist planners in understanding, adopting, and executing the planning function. Collaborate to identify and resolve process and system issues.
  • Establish yourself as the primary point of contact for the Kinaxis Rapid Response project.
  • Project management, including an understanding and application of basic project management tools and techniques, including project life cycle, internal client goals and objectives.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on all sides about projects progress and address any concerns that they may have
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to refine and execute project plans
  • Plan and facilitate change management within the organization implementing and adopting the Rapid Response system
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate any potential risks that could impact the project. Ability to negotiate changes in the project plan, budget, and schedules
  • Calculate and present project status to the management on regular timeline

MUST HAVE:

•         Min 5 years of experience in Supply Planning and Production planning including knowledge of MRP, DRP, Capacity Planning, MPS, SIOP.

•         Proven record of driving planning to achieve key performance metrics.

•         Kinaxis Rapid Response and/or SAP knowledge and use for planning and scheduling.

•         Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal & written communication skills.

•         Working knowledge of project management tools and templates

•         Bachelors degree in related operations management or supply chain management or equivalent.

•         Six Sigma Lean Expert

•         PMP, APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification preferred

•         Proficient in Microsoft applications.

•         Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and delegate.

•         Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
