Job Description:

Core Responsibilities:

· Plastic product analyses and technical plastic injection mold making feasibility studies.

· Design for Manufacturing (DFM) elaborations. Able to illustrate using PPT.

· Customer support, especially for plastic injection mold and plastic product design.

· Preparation of various presentations, mold layouts and mold change requests.

· Analysis of plastic injection molds and components.

· Technical solution proposals and plastic injection tool solutions.

· Prepare and develop strong customer presentations clearly explaining methods, products and services.

· Supporting colleagues globally with various new projects and plastic product design solutions.

· Assisting customers by providing technical expertise and plastic product information and offering solutions and recommendations.

· Injection mold training and technical support for quotation calculation.

· General activities that are not directly related to the plastic injection field of activity but are necessary for the daily workflow and cooperation between the individual departments.

· Ensures compliance with all legal and other guidelines and rules applicable in the company that affect the area of activity.

· Work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, R&D, manufacturing, etc.

Desired Skills and Experience

· 3 to 5 years of hands-on technical exposure to plastic Injection Molding/Mold-making preferably in a design role mandatory.

· 3 to 5 years of experience in plastic injection tool design with customized plastic products.

· 3D CAD / CAM system knowledge.

· Must be able to determine feasibility based on plastic product drawings supplied by customer, and/or information obtained from sales or application engineering.

· ERP and PLM knowledge.

· Fluent with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Software.

· Excellent communications skills, written and verbal, time management and follow-up skills required.

· Results oriented and ability to organize and follow up on multiple projects.

· Flexible & Inventive and innovative.

· Team-oriented with ability to work independently.

· Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Education

· Degree in mechanical engineering or training as a tool mechanic, precision mechanic specializing in molding technology with appropriate further training to become a master craftsman or technician.
