In this role, you will be a key member of the technical service organization, responsible for planning, architecting, developing, and supporting lab environments that enable the analysis, integration, and testing of advanced communication systems. Collaborating closely with programs and functional support groups, you will lead the conceptualization and implementation of creative lab solutions, guiding stakeholders toward shared objectives and driving innovation in support of diverse programs and research efforts.

Applied Signal Technology: WHO WE ARE
What You Will Do:
Support site AST customer mission objectives through the development and implementation of lab area plans.
Provide leadership to establish and implement unified site lab area plans in conjunction with internal and external customers and service providers.
Support program specific lab area efforts.
Provide leadership and management of lab area focused projects.
Manage site lab area industry, RTX, and AST compliance efforts.
Manage day to day site lab area operations.
Mentor staff in lab skills and best practices.
Manage site acquisition and allocation of lab resources.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Experience in a communications development lab environment.
Experience in leadership, development, and execution of lab area projects
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance or current SSBI.
Experience in leadership, development, and execution of lab area projects (requirements, planning, architectures, practices, implementation).
Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of lab area infrastructure and development systems.
Experience with the implementation, maintenance, and management of standard lab area practices (ESD, Calibration, infrastructure, equipment, supplies).
Exposure to the implementation, management, and maintenance of Windows and Linux network systems.
Exposure to Linux, Python, or similar scripting languages.

AST
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
