Primary Objective of the Position:
Cargojet is seeking a superstar Operations Lead / Principal Program Manager to lead the development of Cargojets new B2C cargo transportation venture.

The Operations Lead / Principal Program Manager, Cargo transportation, will be responsible to develop and execute new processes, policies, goals, and long-term solutions that increase scalability, streamline operations, reduce potential errors, decrease costs, and incubate the companys overall B2C air transportation program. This position will communicate with external vendors, managers, peers, and team members, both within the team, as well as with other departments and business partners to drive effective solutions to complex challenges. The Ops. lead will work cross-functionally to implement solutions that effectively exceed targets and is responsible to identify, design, develop, and execute operations planning standards, goals, and solutions that are safety-focused and customer-centric. They will also contribute toward product development by laying out business rules and processes with IT platform vendors.
Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment thats more startup than big company.

Essential Position Functions / Responsibilities:
• Design and implement operations workflows – ground and air operations design
• Scanning and Tagging system design
• First and Last Mile coordination and design, white glove service model compliance
• Define and enforce pickup and delivery SLAs
• Defects and escalations handling
• Service area coverage mapping and documentation
• Working cross-functionally, navigating through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability, and delivering on commitments
• Managing multiple project assignments that continuously improve customers experience and develop best in class air cargo capabilities
• Communicating roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and deliver to project schedules
• Producing concise, relevant, and strategically driven documents and presentations for both the front-line operation at airports and company leadership
• Using analytical tools to dive deep and never be out of touch with the details of the business
• Tracking progress towards goals by identifying metrics and measuring performance
• Representing the company with partners and working across all relevant cross-functional areas to guarantee effective communication, implementation, and execution of objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
• Operations or Supply Chain Masters / MBA Preferred
• 7+ years of experience in airline operations, baggage handling, last-mile delivery, or operations-based management consulting.
• Experience in complex logistical processes for cargo operations, air freight, freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics
• Experience in Cargo Management Systems
• Able to work under pressure
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Exceptional Communication Skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
