THE WORK

In this role, you will manage the planning, preparation, issuance, and control of production schedules and material requirements. Youll ensure a controlled flow of approved materials is timed perfectly to meet production demands. Youll also monitor and advise management on work progress, material availability, and potential production challenges, ensuring personnel, equipment, and materials are aligned to meet organizational goals.

Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field, OR equivalent professional experience in production planning or materials management.
Leadership Experience:

Demonstrated experience leading teams, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development.
Production and Materials Management Expertise:

Experience managing production schedules, material requirements planning (MRP), and ensuring adherence to operational timelines.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Communication and Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong ability to communicate across multiple levels of an organization and with cross-functional teams.
Proactive problem-solving skills with a track record of addressing material availability or production challenges.
Process Improvement:

Experience in implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency and meet business goals.
Desired Skills:
Advanced Leadership Abilities:

Proven track record of fostering a collaborative team environment and driving employee engagement and performance.
Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies:

Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
Technical Proficiency:

Previous Sikorsky Operations experience

Strong skills in data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
Supply Chain Expertise:

Deep understanding of supply chain management principles, inventory optimization, and Just-In-Time (JIT) production.
Project Management Experience:

Ability to lead cross-functional projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Strategic Thinking:

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align production planning with long-term business goals.
Effective Communication:

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to convey complex concepts to senior leadership and team members effectively.
Experience in Aerospace or Defense:

Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment within the aerospace or defense industries is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Regulatory Requirements:

Understanding of ITAR, FAR, and other industry-specific regulations is a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
