PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for managing aircraft, planning, scheduling, and control of all maintenance, to meet AFTD’s mission requirements. Plan, project, issue priorities, manage and preposition supplies. Manage Production Control activities and the development of production schedules consistent with projected flight hours and aircraft requirements. Manage component reliability studies and project logistical requirements. Monitor supply actions to ensure timely delivery of repair parts and components. Collect and correlate production statistics for analysis of Production Control operational data. Coordinate production schedules based on known requirements and the flight hour program. Provide information relative to progress and completion of work and recommend the realignment of personnel to effect timely completion of work. Manage scheduling and priority control for modifications. Maintain liaison between Government representatives and maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of this work. Monitor work in progress to minimize overtime used in accomplishing the contract mission. Participate in evaluation of departmental performance, including the maintenance of charts and graphs, and preparation of maintenance reports and statistical performance data. Must be proactive in enforcing safety policies of the contract and the U.S. Government. Responsible for the completion of other tasks related to this position as they are assigned by cognizant management. As applicable, enforce Company, Corporate, U.S. Government agency and other rules, regulations and procedures toward overall attainment of goals and objectives. Maintain liaison with project personnel for ongoing test installation and projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly supervises 6 personnel. 4 Production Control Assistants and two clerks. As a supervisor this person will award, mentor, train and discipline subordinates. Additionally, this person approves vacation, sick leave and time sheets.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Intermediate to advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferredAbility to enter data accurately into databases.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondenceInterpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew membersMust possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.Ability to follow a process.Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.Ability to perform basic mathematical computationsHigh degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independentlyAbility to multi-taskMust be able to climb on top of and down from aircraft using hand / foot holds, capable of lifting up to 25 pounds overhead, on feet all day, walk up to 2 miles per day.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalentBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in management, production management, aviation maintenance, professional aeronautics or general aviation is highly desired.Graduate of the Advance Non Commissioned Officer Course (ANCOC) or the Aviation Maintenance Manager Course (AMMC) required.Proven ability to determine requirements, personnel, repair parts, time allocation, and facility requirements necessary to perform maintenance actions performed at a complex multi-function aviation facility.A minimum of 15 years supervisory experience in aviation maintenance is required.A valid FAA A&P License desired.Must demonstrate supervisory knowledge of current Army Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS).Thorough understanding of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS-A) and doctrine concerning aeronautical equipment maintenance management policies and procedures.Thorough understanding and ability to effectively use the ULLS-A(E).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
