An opportunity has arisen to join the Spacecraft Production group inside the Panels and Structures organisation! You will be responsible for managing the operations team to manufacture, and successfully deliver satellites structures for all Telecom Satellites, including the next generation OneSat!!

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM 

  • To manage, lead, develop and engage a production team, supported by shift leaders to meet time, quality and cost area objectives while ensuring safety requirements
  • Responsible for all activities, team and assets in the area to deliver on quality, on time and on cost; Manage capacity and workload, while providing facilities and manpower.
  • Responsible for delivering and maintaining a Lean Methodology disciplined, standardized working regime and practice in the Production Area; Health & Safety Governance for Operational team
  • Lead and engage the team into a Continuous Process Improvement culture and mindset
  • Stakeholder for engineering processes and feedback
  • Conduct teams’ annual appraisals, competence reviews and development planning
  • Main contributor to shape the future for Spacecraft Production UK with a digitalization focus

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrable experience of managing a team within a demanding manufacturing environment within the Aerospace, Automotive, defence, medial or other suitable industry background
  • Technically astute individuals with demonstrable experience of supporting teams within a manufacturing assembly or production domain
  • Influential leaders with a passion for creating a strong and collaborative working environments to ensure their team are proficient, motivated and well trained.
