Job Summary
Join us as a Program Management Intern. This is a paid summer intern opportunity in our Program Management Office (PMO). PMO interns work closely with and assist staff with various assignments. The summer intern program consists of 10+ weeks of hands-on real world experience in a career development environment. Participation in the intern program gives preference for future semesters as an intern/co-op within DRS Naval Power Systems. A typical student will participate in 2+ semesters as an intern/co-op at DRS throughout their junior and senior years.

What You Will Do
- Perform program administration work of an introductory nature in preparation for career advancement and gradually increasing in level of difficulty and responsibility
- Contribute to the execution of various projects and organizational objectives when asked
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite including MS Project to maintain program artifacts and other electronic information
- Project a professional company image with internal and external stakeholders including leadership and customers through written and verbal communication
- Prepare routine reports with Program Manager guidance
- Assist in researching information as needed for projects and tasks
- Assist with coordinating meetings, conferences, and special events
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED + completion of at least 1 semester of college; preference given to students in their junior or senior year of undergrad
- Grade point average of 3.0 or above
- Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
- Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
- Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
