What Were Doing
Lockheed Martin provides the cockpit, integrated avionics and mission systems on the V-280 Valor for the U.S. Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), as a teammate to Bell.

The Work
In this important work, you will:
• Ensure timely completion of contract deliverables, tracking program cost, schedule, and performance. In addition, this candidate will be responsible for identifying risks, providing mitigation plans, and collecting and analyzing program metrics (EV, Engineering Development, Quality, Production, etc.).

• Lead all phases of defined programmatic responsibilities, from inception and baseline establishment, through completion including coordinating across all program disciplines to ensure the program meets all internal and customer commitments and objectives.

• Prepare for, participate in, and present at Program Management Reviews, Program Status Reviews and Programmatic Milestone Reviews.

• Lead proposal development, participate in negotiation of contracts, contract changes, and financial terms/conditions. The Program Manager will support adjacent Internal Research & Development projects.

• Nurture customer relationships and will work in frequent collaboration with others.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education

• Program/Project Management experience

• Experience in measuring project performance and progress on scope, time, and cost

• Experience leading cross-functional teams to meet quality, schedule, and cost commitments

• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with proposal development

• Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) standards

• 5 or more years of leadership experience (formal or informal) of developing strategies and plans, managing resources, and executing to meet objectives

• Prefer aircraft and avionics development and manufacturing, engineering systems within the defense business

• Experiencing leading briefings and strategy meetings for senior/executive management, customer and government representatives

• Domain Knowledge: Avionics and Mission Equipment system and subsystem development, integration, qualification experience for aviation programs, with emphasis in Mission Computer / Processor product development

• Experience with Airworthiness Certification, in particular DO-178 (Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification) and DO-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware)

• Understanding and knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)

• Experience with Agile project management techniques

• Experience of working parallel and related Internal Research & Development and contract projects

• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills and experience leading diverse teams

• Active Secret clearance or higher

• DOD contracts experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $123,500 - $236,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $142,100 - $267,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
